Just Breathe
Breathe.
I literally said that in my head right before I sat down to write this. My goal was to share something with all of you every Wednesday….and well, that hasn’t happened.
Life has been a crazy roller coaster the past couple of months. Moving, traveling, finding all the new that comes with moving to a new town…..doctors, your favorite grocery store, feed stores, and of course where can I buy my favorite bottle of wine.🥰
I’ve been living day by day and trying to live in the moment. Making time to sit and FEEL what we’re creating. We all get so numb to move to the next thing…I’m talking to myself because I am the queen of “did it, done, now what.”
Cooking more than ever. We’re close to a great city with outstanding restaurants and we’re opting for home cooking. I mean you can see why…right? I look at this view and all I can think of is how good God is…He is the only one who could orchestrate these colors.
JE and I did venture out for lunch at Ma Der Lao Kitchen…..chefs kiss! We’ve wanted to try it for dinner several times but could never get a seat, so we opted for a lunch date. Y’all, we knew nothing about Lao food and, to be honest, I always feel a little intimidated when I venture out and try something new. BUT…..we had the sweetest waitress, Sam. I literally told her we were first timers and she took care of the rest. She shared a little about the culture, recommended dishes, and was so personable. Our intimidation quickly turned into comfort.
We’re still living out of half of what we own,
We still have a ways to go before the house is “us”,
But I can say this is home. Home like I haven’t ever felt in over 20 years.
Call me an Okie all you want……This past month has given me more peace, serenity and excitement all wrapped into one.
This is your sign to take a deep breath, enjoy this life you’ve been given, and step out and try something new…you won’t ever know if something is for you unless you actually try it.
XoXoXo,
Christi
