Words Matter
The past week I’ve felt very uninspired. I’ve been thinking about what I wanted to write about and nothing was coming to mind. I woke up around 3am this morning and God said, “Be still”. Does He ever wake you up in the middle of the night or is it just me? He knows that it’s most likely the time I will lay there and keep my mouth shut.
When I woke up and looked outside I saw deer walking across our field, birds diving into the water to find something to eat, our old Longhorn steers grazing, and fish flapping out of the water….I sat and soaked it all in.
Still unmotivated to start my day I went and grabbed my phone to take a picture and capture the moment. When I picked up my phone I saw where I had received a message from a “friend” on Facebook. She was asking about my devotional, so I voiced her back and shared it with her.
Her response is what changed my day……”You always make my day better!”
A stranger spoke life into me.
Words matter!
The ones you tell yourself and the ones you speak to others. They can bring life or death. I challenge you to find something nice to say to someone today. We have contacts in our phone, friends on social media, and/or people we cross paths with in person…so many opportunities that we’re letting slip away.
Let me know if you partake in this challenge…I want to hear all about how you made someone’s day.
~And you can go to “Shop” and find my devotional.
XoXoXo,
Christi 💜
