Transformation Starts On The Inside
It’s an inside job.
There are so many things I want to do to make the outside of my house more appealing….update flower beds with modern planters, decorate my porch with succulents, patio furniture, new doors, paint…..the list can go on forever,
but…..we live on the inside.
That’s why you buy a house, right? To make it a place you enjoy and a place you want to share with others. You want your house to become a home.
A place where people laugh, a place where every person who walks through the door is comfortable, and for me, a place where I can cook and everyone enjoys a homecooked meal. Food always brings everyone together, in my opinion.
So what if the outside was well manicured, my porch was all dolled up, the beautiful metal doors were in place but you walked in and it was empty…the only thing you saw was dirt, trash and an uninviting paint color on the wall. Would you want to come inside and stay awhile? How about dinner? Would you feel welcome?
Of course you wouldn’t. And no one else would either.
Your mindset and body are no different.
Everything can look great on the outside, but if you’re not loving what you’re putting on the inside it won’t matter. A designer bag won’t buy true happiness,(don’t get me wrong, bags make me happy) but a lasting transformation starts from within.
For your body:
Focus on protein like meat and eggs, fresh veggies, healthy fats such as olive oil or avocados.
Move your body. You don’t have to join a gym or have fancy equipment at home. Go for a walk through the pasture(this is what I do), YouTube a yoga workout, or buy the “under desk” treadmill and walk as you work or while you scroll.
If you’re like me it’s not always easy to eat perfectly, (and sometimes I just don’t want to😉) so for that reason it’s simpler for me to take supplements ($17 deals right now!🤯) to help fill the gaps that my food misses. I love how simple it is to keep my body on the right track and it makes me feel good that I’m doing my part.
For your mindset:
Listen to a podcast that fills you from the inside out. For me that’s Ed Mylett. A new episode comes out every Tuesday. Go listen and watch your mind and attitude change within the hour.
Read a book, or listen to a book. Once again, I love Ed. I’ve never been a big reader until the past couple of years but if you want to work on you, this book is a must.
Starting your day off with a devotional and reading the Word. Get quiet with God.
The BIG one….make sure you’re surrounding yourself with people that are where you want to be. Full of positivity, business savvy, thriving marriage, physically fit…..you become like the 5 people you hang out with. Choose wisely.
I love to see a house become a home but watching a person transform into being all God’s created them to be is the greatest transformation of all.
XoXoXo,
Christi💜
